This dough whisk is my new favorite sourdough baking item. Does a fantastic job of mixing the dough. Fits comfortably in hand and is nice and sturdy. You too will find the magic in how easily it washes up. No dough sticking between bent metal or down into the handle connections. I highly recommend this tool.

This version of a Danish dough whisk works great, much better than the traditional whisk. The flat, coiled surface efficiently catches and turns bread dough and it's much, much easier to clean than its Danish cousin. The tool is smaller than my traditional whisk, but my hands are small, and I find this one's a much more comfortable fit. Highly recommend.

I was very impressed with the quality of the product. For Christmas, I put together a bread makers basket for my daughter and this was one of the items included. It is a solid stainless steel instrument and fits nicely in the hand while using to mix and/or knead the dough. Another bonus is how easy it is to clean. Great purchase.

I have mixed feelings about this dough whisk. I was prepared to absolutely love it because the design looked intriguing and modern. One of the biggest selling points was that just from the pictures I could see how easy it would be to clean compared to a traditional Danish whisk. However, in actual use I wasn’t as impressed with it.First, what I liked - It is actually a pleasure to clean this whisk. I just took a paper towel and spiraled it through to wipe off the excess dough before throwing it in the dishwasher. So much faster and easier than with my other whisk that likes to trap dough in the wire holes. The other thing that this does well is scraping the sides of the bowl to incorporate the dried flour into the mix. The curve and structure of the whisk make it easy to do this without using a plastic scraper. Also, I am impressed with the quality construction of this tool. Besides looking like a beautiful piece of modern kitchen equipment, it is very sturdy and durable. It washed up well in the dishwasher and seems like it was built to last. Now for what I didn’t like - It was actually harder to mix my bread dough with this than my traditional Danish whisk. It’s just a bit too wide, so it doesn’t cut into the dough easily to turn it upon itself. I really had to use a lot of force to get all the way through the dough. Now, just for reference, I primarily use a 73% hydration sourdough recipe (500g flour, 350g water, 100g starter, 10g salt) and mix a double batch for two loaves. Perhaps if you normally make higher hydration doughs this wouldn’t be as much of an issue. And possibly if I made just single batches I wouldn’t have as much of a problem either as there would be less dough to cut through. The other problem I encountered is that the handle is too short. I love the look and feel of the handle, don’t get me wrong, but the end of the handle hits just at the meaty part of my palm. As it is a bit tapered and pointy, it ended up stabbing into my palm as I was applying force. I tried to reposition my hand to get closer to the business end but then I’d be too close to the dough itself and my hand would end up riding up the handle anyway as I was aggressively trying to mix.Overall, I think this whisk is a great concept, It just needs to be re-engineered a bit. It would be great if they could lengthen the handle by about an inch and make the mixing spiral thinner in width. I think they could do that without losing too much integrity. However, again, these are only my own personal experiences. Perhaps with a different recipe or if you had much smaller hands then this would be a perfect tool for you. I’m not going to give up yet - I will try it again the next time I make my high hydration focaccia and see if I have more success.

I got this to replace a previous danish dough whish that looks like a looped wire into a wooden handle. The problem with those is that the looped wire eventually seems to break loose and spins around, making it worthless. This one has the HUGE advantage of being all one piece, and the curled part is less flexible than you'd guess looking at a picture, so it's quite well suited for biscuit doughs and bread doughs. With the open end, you can easily clean the "blade" part clean when you're done mixing. This is the winner, for sure.

This piece is awesome. Got it for sourdough. Made solid and larger than expected.
