I bought this for a 2011 BMW 550i xdrive. The driver seat thigh support was not extending or retracting. I could hear the motor turning. Fortunately there are a few good YT videos that show how to get the drive unit out and replace this part. The original part is a plastic gear while this one is metal. I hope to never have to replace this again! Fit perfectly and now I have a working seat!

I replaced the broken OEM gear with this one in my E60 M5. I added some silicone grease, put it back together, and it works great! Great price for a relatively easy fix.

This gear is not available as a genuine part. However, this is a great alternative to the original since it is not plastic. Installation was simple.
