The battery cells maintain their original envelop AA cell performance characteristics including 2000mAh, 1500 recharges, and will Hold 75 percent of the charge for up to 3 years (when not in use). These adapters are a great alternative when C size batteries are not available. Battery life (per recharge) will vary based on the application. Envelop spacers can be recharged over and over again (up to 1500 times) and are convenient and easy to use. Simply insert a charged envelop AA battery cell into the "C" Size spacer. Once the AA cell in inserted into the spacer it is ready to be used in the device.

These are easily the best rechargeable cells that I've found on the market. They work great and the sleeves for C & D cells work great too and save you money. I'm sure eventually they'll release a 9v cell when they do I'll buy a few. The real value are the kits which are sold with 8AA cells, 2AAA cells and the sleeves for both C and D's, plus a recharger. The kits go for about 30$, but the only way I get them is if there 30$ or less and free shipping. Otherwise, Costco sells these same kits for 28-35ish $.

Fits smoothly in all devices I used them in.The only drawback is the glue reside left on the outside of each unit. I'd call that a packaging problem. It took a few minutes of rubbing with my fingers (that gets about 98 percent off), then a round of a liquid adhesive remover to clean them up.I looked at comparable products that were cheaper, but after reading reviews that had "fit" issues, I took the plunge on these.I recommend this product, especially if you're a fan of their AA batteries.

This review is for the AA-to-C battery spacer 4-pack. For my uses there's no problem with them being too tight a fit, as I've read in other reviews. They work just fine. My only complaint is they come stuck together with some kind of adhesive from hell. It's not normal "museum gel" or the glue boogers you find in junk mail. This is really nasty stuff. I tried everything from hot water to Bestine and still couldn't remove it completely. I bought a spacer 4-pack, and a spacer 2-pack with AA batteries. Only the 4-pack used this vile goo.

I've never been so disgusted with product packaging in my life. These spacers arrived in a simple cellophane wrap, that's fine. But whatever genius decided how to arrange them for wrapping thought it would be a good idea to GLUE them together first. That's right, the four individual spacers are glued together with big globs of soft sticky glue!It took me 40 MINUTES to get the glue off. You can't leave the globs of glue on, or the spacers won't fit in a battery compartment. You can't peel it off with your fingernail. You can't get it off with soap and water. You can't even get it off with Glue-Gone! The only way to get them clean is to rub it continually with a cloth and abrade it off. The glue sticks a little bit to the cloth each time, so you just have to sit there and keep rubbing it like an idiot until it's all rubbed off. I was surprised that the Glue-Gone didn't dissolve it, but no luck there.Do not buy this product. It shouldn't even be sold in this condition. The spacers work ok once cleaned, but it's not worth the time. Buy spacers from someone else. Amazon should pull this product until the packaging is corrected.

As a test of sorts, I bought some of these eneloop spacers and some of the Lenmar spacers, which are much less expensive. Many people complain that while the Lenmar spacers are technically within spec they are still too large for some applications. But the Lenmars fit perfectly in my Sangean PR-D5 radio. And they hold the AA cell snugly (but not too tight). But these eneloop spacers - while they also fit my radio just fine, the cells slide pretty freely in the spacer, which made them much more difficult to load into my radio. Hopefully I don't have to do it too often. I might throw a layer of painters tape around the cells to see if that helps.Let's talk about packaging, though. While the Lenmars come in one of those blister packs that have some potential to slice your finger open, the Sanyos are much more devious. Because once you get the Lenmars open - the spacers are good to go. But the #$%*&^ eneloops spacers are glued to each other, and not the nice soft glue that peels off cleanly like they use to hang pictures on college dorm walls. No, this glue is nasty - I had to be careful - just twisting the spacers out of this stupid arrangement felt like I might break them, so I had to be very careful separating them from each other. And once I did that, I still had large amounts of thick but mostly dry glue on the spacers, extremely sticky, and enough that it would definitely make using them a challenge in terms of fit. After many minutes of me constantly pulling and rolling the glue off the spacers and then hitting the last bits with GooGone - they are clean. But what a pain in the ass. For the expensive "super perfect fit" spacers (that let the cells slide in and out too freely.I think a lot of eneloop's reputation as a quality product is overhyped. I think when some select other brands are just as good or almost as good for 30% to 50% less money, combined with eneloop's apparent desire to frustrate the user with packaging clearly designed by Satan (okay - I might be overstating it a bit), it becomes time to stop blindly being an eneloop fanboy and entertain the idea that maybe the other guys aren't shipping total crap.I'm dinging the eneloop spacers one star for demonic packaging and one for sloppy fit (yeah, I just said that).

These are so handy. I LOVE my AAA rechargeable batteries. I have so many of them. And they fit right around them. I had to buy for a birthday gift.

The spacers don't hold the batteries firmly. It's easy to put the batteries in the spacers but the challenge comes when it's time to put the spacers in the device you want to power. All too often the batteries slip out of one end or the other and then you have to take all of them out and start over again, or the springs in your device make it very difficult to put all the batteries in place without them sticking out of one end of the spacer. Could use a better design.

I got this to use with the cats meow toy. I found that it works well and I purchase cheap batteries. The batteries last the day for the kitten to play with her toy and that is all I wanted from this product. I have used this for a month or so and so far so good. I hate the cost of c batteries and using the aa ones are so much cheaper. Great product for the cost.
