This is the same dumb egg-dome shaped design as the Ademco/Honeywell "upgraded" roller ball. Why can't we just get a roller ball design again? They worked. The egg-shaped heads get damged over time by the door "shaving" the side of it since it doesn't "roll" out of the way... the egg shaped dome gets wedged out of place and the switch gets stuck.I'm sure shaving off a few pennies in the design makes sense for the millions of units sold, it adds up, but man... why fix a problem that doesn't exist?

This is a plunger type, NOT a roller ball.
