I really needed a moible heat gun but this is not it, if used outdoors with wind or cold it can not get hot enough to work heat srinking

I do a lot of automotive and electronic wire loom repair, so I'm constantly applying small diameter heat shrink tubing. This cordless tool is not the most powerful, but it is perfect for my uses. It gives me a lot of flexibility, especially when making a wire loom repair up under a dashboard or similar. To date I have been using a similarly compact light duty 120v heat gun, but the cord was constantly getting in my way. This won't be a problem anymore! A nice bonus feature is that you can lock the controls on this unit to make sure it does not turn on accidentally in your tool bag.

I was hoping this would be better than it is but I didn't really have reasonable expectations for a battery powered heat gun. It's more like an embossing heater that you'd get at a craft store but with even less output. I tried to use it last night with one of those solder shrink wrap splices and it worked but far too slowly to do more than one or two. It doesn't output much volume and if there's any wind, it may struggle to even shrink wrap.As a small portable heat gun that you might use for a couple small jobs at a time, it's fine. It's also good enough to use for things like removing stickers. I was just expecting too much for a battery powered solution.

Wanted to use this to connect wires... says 450 degrees but near impossible for me to get it to melt the solder in wire butt connectors. Melts the plastic ok, just not the solder ball in the middle. In a perfect scenario where you could constantly roll the ball 360 over a stationary heat gun, it works, but slowly.

This is a great little heat gun for small applications. It's immediate, and cools down just as fast. USB C charging is perfect, and it has a stand, as well as a hot air director to help keep the hot air swirling around you work and not hit items around your work. For the price, if you solder, or use heat shrink, or use heat to remove adhesive, it's not a bad tool.

Works ok for heat shrink solder connectors but that’s about it. Fan is weak. Great that it’s portable and chargeable.
