This direct drive motor coupling provides a cushioned connection between the transmission and the motor shaft. It attaches to the direct-drive transmission and the motor shaft. If this part is defective it will affect the agitator in your washer because of its direct connection with the motor.

This replacement has a metal insert which the original part did not, making it sturdier and hopefully longer lasting. It was easy for my son to install and now the washer is working perfectly. We found out the correct part to replace from a YouTube video and fixed our washer for $9! CanΓ’β¬β’t beat that!

It needed a little bump with a socket and dead blow hammer to slip onto the transmission shaft but that is how it should be. Alignment was dead on and fit great on the motor shaft. Worth every penny.

This coupling was a perfect fit for my old Kenmore top loading washer. Used a few helpful YouTube tutorials and had the machine repaired in about half an hour. So far it's working great. Saved a ton of money by avoiding a repair service, and the parts seem sturdier than the originals. With any luck my clothes will be spinning right 'round like a record, baby for years to come. Confirming that this item worked for its intended purposes. Quality seemed to be good as well. The metal bolt on the inside was not on the original piece but on the replacement which will most likely prevent damage to the piece over time.
