This pruning shears set so far works very well. The built quality feels very good, almost like Makita quality. I have spent half a day yesterday pruning various type of trees that I previously hesitated to climb on a ladder to work on. Well hesitate no more, with and without the extension rod I made a few hundred cuts, absolutely wonderful, the knife went through 1" maple like nothing. When it was all done, the battery didn't even register any reduced bar, the blade was a bit dull, but no complaints there, because those cuts included a lot hardwood, some of them were more than 1 inch in diameter, the included sharpening stone or a good fine file will make it sharp again in no time.Since the description didn't mention whether Makita battery can be used, I initially did not intend to buy this set, until I realized the other pruning shears set's (it specifically mentioned Makita compatibility) extension rod is screw-on type (that apparently will makes pole length change very inconvenient), so I decided to give this set a try, I sent a message to ask if it is compatible with Makita battery, the seller responded very quickly with an affirmative answer. I can confirm it indeed is compatible with Makita battery, one caveat though, the battery came with the set will not power the genuine Makita tools, not anything wrong with that, just be aware of it.I am very happy to have purchased this set.

This cutter is AWESOME!!! But believe me when I say it is crazy dangerous. This is the only tool that I would say is way more dangerous than a chain saw because with a chainsaw you can back off.... with is - your finger is laying on the ground before you know what happened!But does it work.... OMG!! It is awesome!!!! But do not buy this for anyone that is clumsy and don't leave this out for kids to use.... hide it like a gun - and I'm not kidding....

May someone help me. The tool states it extends up to 15ft. However, I am measuring just 9ft from top to bottom.Any comments?Thank you

I normally hire someone to haul cut branches that I cut from my yard every 2 or 3 months. It saves me money using tool because my husband was able to cut those branches in small pieces and include them in my yard waste collection bin. My husband, who has arm problem, able to use it everyday until all branches were cut and dumped. I carry it around my yard and cut whatever branch gets in my way.

I purchased this electric shear in Jan 2021. I have been using it on weekly basis to keep my yard's trees trimmed without paying my gardener to do the work. It still works great. The only feedback from is is that one of the batteries stopped working. It would only lasted about less than 3 minutes cutting. The other battery still works well though.

plenty of power, battery lasts good, I put it in my lap 'power off and closed blades". SAFTEY FIRST!!I should make a holder for it.as I am mowing to trim the small libs that are always in the way, convent to be able to do it with one hand, no busted knuckles
