It's been more than a week since I planted this plant in this self-watering pot, and the plant is doing great. These are easy to set up and the reservoir holds enough water to keep the plant healthy for more than a week. The drain holes for the bottom of the pots also help plant roots to stay healthy without rotting in water.for this price, these pots are very valuable and help keep plants watered and healthy for an extended time without much supervision.

I am capable of a great many things, but adequately keeping a plant alive...not so much. I'm either starting out with a whole lot of good intentions (which leads to unintentional over watering) or then I step too far back and I'm always playing catch up trying to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. (But I'm all in or nothing with most everything so I don't know why this would be any different. Lol) I brought home 2 peace lilly plants from my neighbors' son's funeral and told them I would care for them and get them repotted so they wouldn't have to deal with that portion of the momento. I remember it hitting home when she exclaimed with dread, "I'll have to remember to water it..." Man, can I relate. I went on Amazon to find a gorgeous large pot to transplant these into for them. There are so many but once I saw this ingenious idea of a self watering container, I couldn't see myself investing in anything that wasn't self watering. Who would have thought?? A chance for me to not drown or dehydrate a plant!! (And no more messy over flow from filling too much after trying to compensate for being neglectful either!) These keeps sakes might have a chance after all. I have since ordered more self watering in larger diameter to accommodate the plants since they are doing so well. Soon I will take over two thriving plants for the family. These pots are quite sturdy, have a straight forward assembly, and put so much ease into plant forgiveness. I can't see myself using any other type of pot from here on out.*********UPDATE*********I will never again own an indoor plant that isn't potted in one of these. The ease this brings....not only have I not killed a plant since planting them in these, I have had to do very little thinking about them and they are flourishing. When I think it's been a week or so I'll add more water to the bottom reservoir. Doesn't get easier than that, especially with all the traveling I do.
Not happy, NEW but still rusted and water spots

After purchasing, I’ve seen sets like this that have clear trays on the bottom and that’s so much better. This set’s trays are gray, so one can never see how much water is in the trays, which is super annoying and inconvenient. This issue alone has caused water to overflow and spill due to being overfilled because you’re filling it blindly. Other than that major issue, they’re sturdy and nice-looking, but not functional for the purpose of plants or anything else that drips water or needs water refills.

I really like these planters. They are perfect size to keep in my kitchen for herbs. They are very lightweight and thin walled, which is what I wanted. There are 7 in the set but for now I'm only using 6. They do not come with instructions on how to use the water wick but it's pretty simple and common sense.

These look nice and work well, they are not complicated. However, I still am unsure a single looped short rope is enough to keep the soil sufficiently moist. The pots are a little smaller than I expected but sufficient as long as you know what you’re going to put in them. I would recommend these, they are versatile enough for real plants or fancy faux plants.

I purchased these planters to start my strawberries inside earlier as we have a late frost. The great thing about these is that it has a pan if you over water it catches the excess in the bottom (removable. They are small enough to be able to move them easily. The color is bright white with a grey bottom.
