Got this for my convicts and with modifications it works for them. This is for mouth brooders and not tiny egg laying cichlids though the title says it is for cichlids. I got this when I was new to eggs and fry but now I have learned. Even had my sister get them for her cory cat eggs. Suction could be better but it is usable.

For the money this egg tumbler is built extremely well with thick clear piping and pvc parts. Easy to assemble and use.

Overall, I'm pretty mixed on this product. I bought two of these to see if I can increase my fry yield for my spawning angelfish.The concept behind it is great, and I don't doubt that it's excellent for hatching large cichlid eggs.Unfortunately, it's not as effective for raising angelfish eggs. The eggs and the fry are too small -- small enough to fit through both the upper and lower sieves. So you run into a lot of problems when trying to hatch angelfish fry in this including the eggs and fry getting stuck in the bottom sieves and dying vs. the eggs and fry getting sucked out from the top and into the main tank and dying.I eventually was able to work around this by cutting out my own custom fine sponges to plug the bottom and upper portions of the assembly, but that's a workaround at best.I would definitely love it if Senzeal could improve on their design, esp with different size sieves so that the incubator can be used for smaller cichlid species.

Used this for some Cory eggs. Worked like a charm! Easy to use and set up. Needs to be in a bit taller tank but worked in our 20 long just poked out a bit. Next will use with our cicilid eggs. Good quality and nice and thick plastic.
