My grandchildren loved making the little purses. The yarn is plenty for each project. The colors are bright. The directions are ok but could be a bit better for a novice.

I got these to use with girls' club (ages 4-11) and while they were a little simple for the oldest girl (who does have bit of sewing experience), they were perfect for the other girls. I like how it comes with the holes prepunched to keep stitches even. The plastic needles are great for kids, too--and I like how there's one needle for eahc little purse so they didn't have to share but could each have their own. This was a great little set, perfect for what I wanted it for.

This was a Christmas gift for my 6 y/o, who begged to teach her to sew. She got to work as soon as she received her gift and she loves it.PROs:* I like how all that is needed to create each purse is packaged in a separate clear plastic* There's plenty of thread for each project* Cute and easy little projects for the kids* Pre-cut pieces, pre-punctured holes.* The needle is plastic and the eye is big enough for the little hands to put the thread through it* The needle goes through pre-punched holes quite easily.* Easy to figure out what to do.CONs:* Although the material seems sturdy, it stretches easily and can rip the little pre-made holes (it didn't rip for me, but it came pretty close to it).* It is hard for the little hands to pull such a long string through the project. However, I do not think that this can be avoided (except by taking off a few inches of the string, but then you do not really know how long of a sting you will end up needing).* The instructions are too simple, pictures only, and no explanation. The instructions would benefit with the addition of a simple explanation on how to make a knot on a string to secure the first stitch (currently, the instructions suggest starting without the knot and leave the string as is, which will eventually come out and ruin the purse, besides looking unfinished just hanging out).

My daughter loved sewing these as Christmas presents. She’s 4 and I needed to be present to give tips but she was able to be fairly independent. I would think a 6 year old could easily be completely independent.

Darling idea. Good sewing introduction. Poor instructions (only a few pictures) if you care how they come out. I should have readfigured how to identify the front side and where to start, and planned ahead and they would have gone well. Instead I opened them with my 3 grandchildren (3,5,7) who jumped in.One ended up inside out (wasn’t well identified). One started at the wrong point (not hilited where to start) so had to cut the yarn, then sew up the other side. These 2 were a hot mess and disappointing to the kids. Fortunately there were 6 in the kit so we finally ended up with 3 good ones.I think the age was listed as 4-8. That seems perfect. The 3 year old needed all my help and attention—but he enjoyed it. The 7 year has been well started on sewing. She did it all by herself (except starting at the wrong point). The 5 year old needed some help. Great grandmother/ grandchildren project-about 1/2-1 hour.

Ich habe eine Kindertagespflegestelle, dieses Jahr sind Kinder dabei die um die 2,5 Jahre alt sind. Mit diesen Kindern habe ich die Geldbeutel gebastelt. Es ist alles dabei und wir konnten gleich loslegen, die Kinder waren begeistert, natürlich brauchen sie dabei Hilfe und wir haben es auf mehre Basteltage verteilt, da die Konzentration der Kleinen noch nicht solange anhält. Am Ende waren alle stolz . Das werde ich ganz bestimmt mal wieder machen.

Bought this for my grand daughter’s 6th birthday. She loves it. She sat fully engrossed and only needed a little help before she knew exactly what to do. The finished purses are lovely too.

Alles super... Lieferung schnell und problemlos. .. Meine Tochter hat mit Begeisterung daran gearbeitet und die geldbörsen selbstständig und mit Spaß und Freude zusammen genäht. .. Werde mehr bestellen um damit anderen Kindern eine Freude zu machen, da ich mir sicher bin, das es auch bei anderen Kindern und Müttern super ankommen wird. ..
