The glassware contains air bubbles in the sidewall of the drinking glasses that seem to be a normal byproduct of the manufacturing process. However, 1 of 4 glasses in my set was contaminated with opaque black particles that ruin the aesthetic of the glass. The Serax website states that "Many of our designs are finished by hand, this may lead to irregularities and is considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece", but this seems to be a quality control issue. Air bubbles are permissible, but foreign materials are not.
