The build is good and it's easy to open, the lock is alright, it looks nice and it's functional, but.. the large slot in the middle isn't big enough for cash.. which is what I was wanting it for, it's pretty much only good for coins in the top. You can take the top out and put cash below, but for my needs, selling at a farmers market.. the cash option just isn't good enough. I did keep it cause reprogramming the combo lock is easy and it's not a bad safe to keep extra cash or whatnot in it in a nice hidden place. But make no mistake, if someone wants in it.. they'll get in it easier than not!!

Bought this to replace a cash box for our club, of which I am the treasurer. I selected it because it had a removable tray so I store receipt books and cheque book underneath.However, I immediatey tried to put the club's cash in the tray and the compartments are too small to hold UK bank notes. Not even a £5 note will fit. Plus, the box is too small to fit a cheque book in...at all.The build quality is, well, OK-ish. It rattles, and doesn't feel very secure. The only real good thing going for it is the combination lock...but no instructions on how to set it (although it does look a fairly simple procedure to undertake).This will be going back for a full refund and I'll find something more suited to storing cash.
