This is our first down type comforter. We've always used quilts. First, it feels like you're sleeping in a fluffy cloud and very enjoyable. Second, it retains heat unlike quilts. You go to the bathroom and when you come back you jump into a nice warm bed that has retained its heat. Third, it's lightweight and stays put. Fourth, you can swap out duvet covers which makes it very economical to switch out designs in your room. Fifth, it fit well with our existing duvet cover. However, you will notice that there is no standard size across all the Queens duvets.

The first pic is after it was fluffed in the dryer and by hand. The second is straight out of the package.I have read ALL the reviews for EVERY down alternative comforter there is. Well, maybe not EVERY one but it sure feels like it! I’ve done my research. I’ve bought and returned.I got the extra warmth. This one is the one you need. It’s soft, decently thick, quality materials and workmanship. Do I want it thicker? Yes! But I’m looking to sleep in a cloud. I’m “extra†with everything. This is as good as it gets. And the price! So affordable!So, in total I have purchased 4 of these in King, 110x96 but for Queen beds. 3 for kids/guest beds. And 1 for mine temporarily until I can find one big enough for my king, 130ish x 96-100ish). (I wish they made oversized but it seems like I will have to get something straight from China to get it big enough or custom made $$$!).So, when I do find one, I’ll take mine and put it in with another insert and if I love the thicker look, I’ll be buying 2 more. It really is a GREAT down alternative comforter.

I was hesitant to buy a non goose down comforter but wanted a machine washable one. Tried this out and it is so light, fluffy and soft. It is a little cool for winter but I think it will be perfect for most of the year in sunny Southern California.
