The front is not glass, it's plastic. It still looked beautiful and was lighter than expected. The fasteners in the back adjust tightly, so you can be certain your photo or artwork will not fall out.

This 12x17 inch frame is simple and reasonably priced, BUT ... be aware that the plexiglass is very THIN and FRAGILE! You have to peel off the protective layers, front and back, and in the process the corner I was holding on to broke.

I made artwork with this frame for my husband's home gym. The distressed finish blends perfectly in the sparse decor & minimal accoutrements in that space. The finished art looks a throwback from 30 years ago with the black & white poster I put inside.Very happy with this purchase.
