These have a deeper shaft which makes them fit better and my issue is that I bought an Adere preamp and I didn't like the knobs on the control plate. I wanted something that looked Fender standard plastic. 3 x dual concentric knobs for the new control plate needed. I had the bottom knobs by fender drilled out to fit the lower concentric and were 8mm, the upper were 6.35mm but a deeper shaft than normal thank god. The little knob in this set is the only knob that I have seen that fits the upper concentric with no space between knobs. They turn easy and independently as they should. I only used the little knob, but at $10 for the set is cheep. Ive seen on knobs that's $40 just cause they can. I have wasted a fair amount of money trying to find the upper knobs that fit. That's all over know.

Used on old Memphis Bass that buzzed when you touched the Metal controls. Now with plastic knobs with brass inserts it is dead quiet. Bass makes no noise otherwise. Tried everything. Finally said ok plastic knobs and these solved the problem.
