These were just what we needed for our grandchildren’s swing set. They were the right length and easily installed. It was also easy to put the swings on them.

I was looking for a very safe way to install my kids swings through two sistered 2x10s. Bolts screwed in from the bottom made me really nervous and most swing hangers installed that way. These worked great, and calmed my overly paranoid mom brain. And they are completely silent!

This unit comes with drill bit, but I found I needed a bit about 2 sizes larger. Even with a larger bit I needed to take a 2lb sledge hammer and smack bearing housing to get these threads started into wood. Be careful if you do that as you do not want to ruin the bearings or housing. Once hardware was threaded into wood, it was outstanding and solid. Holds porch swing and 405 lbs easily. Note to manufacturer, spot weld nut to threaded lag so it does not loosen when you're tryinhg to tighten with wrench. Had to back nut off when finishing the tightening process and then grab bearing housing, once again, with vice grips and twist entire unit to get completely tight into wood.

Built a custom swing set for the kids, and needed something sturdy, and quiet. These were the ticket! Bolted them thru a telephone pole, and hung swings on them, the swings glide back and forth great! The long threaded rod, and adjustment are nice so you can level out your swings nicely.
