I wanted to change the steel strings on my acoustic guitar to nylon, and they needed a ball end. Despite the fact that i have never used this brand before, I decided to take a chance and they have exceeded my expectations! I opted for their high tension stings to compensate for the fact that steel strings put more pressure on the truss rod of your guitar. In my case, this worked perfectly as I did not have to loosen the tension on the truss rod. Additionally, I did not experience the buzzing/vibrating or intonation issues that can result from this type of conversion. No changes were required on the nut and I did not have to have a luthier adjust my guitar. In short, it was a seamless transition! It took about a week of daily retuning until the strings stretched and stayed in tune. Best of all, the tone is amazing!

The treble strings in this set are clear and resonant and warm - I have used them with a number of different bass string sets. The basses can be a bit dull, depending on the guitar and depending on how much you humidify. If you keep your guitars highly humidified and need a crisp classical set, the La Bella 2001 set is good, and the Savarez Cantiga is great - the clearest most resonant strings I have encountered (but a bit too resonant for my 1977 Ramirez 1A which I already keep at low humidity for added crispness). For an un-humified guitar, this is a fine all-around set.

Two strings are in each pouch for a total of three pouches. This would have been fine if the strings were in the properly labeled pouches. They should individually label them like other companies. I almost clipped two of them too short and had to restring a second time. Excellent quality, fantastic sound, needless error on their part.

The strings sound fine but you couldn't design a worse way to package the strings if you tried. There are 3 packages with two strings each in the package all wound together to the point you can barely get them apart. The black ball ends on the unwound strings were loose and one fell into the carpet which I couldn't find. The sound quality was fine but I won't buy them again just because of the packaging.

These strings are well worth the price. I can't say how pleased I've been with the tone and balance between the basses and trebles. I've never found a complete set that has been as well balanced as these. I've only used the high tension strings, but I believe it's safe to assume the quality of the other tensions as well.

I've used/tried a lot of brands of nylon strings, and these are the BEST all around. Their sound and longevity are quality.

I installed the strings carefully, and brought them up to tension slowly. When the stretching settled down and I did a final tuning... POP! I was expecting more from these relatively pricey strings.
