Searing Bridge Pickup for Unrelenting Tonal Chaos The Black Winter guitar pickup by Seymour Duncan is not for the faint of heart. Named after the song "Black Winter Day" by Finnish metal band Amorphis, these passive humbuckers are primed and ready for sonic destruction. Designed specifically for black metal, death metal, and grindcore, these pickups conjure the murkiest depths of heavy tone with sinister results, with custom overwound coils to maximize both output and clarity. Plus, Black Winters sport some of the sharpest Gothic-inspired graphics to ever grace a pickup, a blast from the past for GearNuts's many fans of those early extreme metal records found across Scandinavia. Throw this Black Winter bridge humbucker into your favorite 6-string and prepare to ascend to the dark throne of sonic brutality.Chainsaw brutality captured in a passive pickup Designed to handle metal's most extreme subgenres, Black Winter humbuckers are the right pickups to

This pup is amazing. Screams especially in drop D or C. But it also gets a nice clean tone when rolled off a little.

Cleans sound good and articulate. Distortion is definitely shred worthy. In my opinion, in standard tuning this pickup walks a line of almost too shrill, piercing highs but in drop or lower tunings it sounds perfect and I think that’s what this pickup is really designed for.

Replaced the bridge pickup in my bc rich beast and holy satan, this thing chugs. Also makes it way too easy to pinch harmonic. Love it.

When I received the pickup it was in its original case, but it had been opened and the “resealed” (very poorly I might add) with packing tape, I pulled the pickup out of the case, there were scratches on the mounting plate, i then noticed that the coils were bent off of center.Needless to say I was pretty disappointed, but I pressed on as I was still excited to install it in one of my guitars. Wired it as per Seymour Duncan instructions in place of my bridge pickup on a 5way switch….sounds line garbage, wire it only in the bridge positition…. Sounds like garbage, wire it straight off the volume pot…. Sounds like garbage…. Replace the volume pot annnnnnnd still sounds like trash, the rear most coil had low output and was thin and weak, leading me to believe this was a “refurbished” return being peddled as a new pickup along with the aforementioned shorty reseal on the packaging.Needless to say I contacted Amazon to do a replacement and the the seller doesn’t have a replace option, and the return option is taken care of by Amazon, go figure you can’t get ahold of the seller, probly know the junk their peddling doesn’t work.

Mi favorita pastilla pasiva de puente para metal, suena muy brutal.
