I had a pretty picky printmaking professor recently, but I decided to risk buying supplies on Amazon and ordered these. They are a great standard size for block printing, and linoleum is very easy to cut, which is why I bought it.The linoleum performed perfectly, though, and I didn't get any comments about it from my professor. The cute pink is just a plus! And the quantity is awesome for the price.

Very similar to Speedball’s redi-carve pink blocks. They are soft and easy to carve with basic tools. However it is also easy for beginners to carve too deeply.Working through the pile of blocks, I have sometimes found it difficult to get fine details or clean edge cuts. But that could be me. As I said, I’m a beginner!

If you are new to block printing you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PURCHASE!! These are soooo much better than Speedball’s speedy carve blocks and not crumbly at all. I previously purchased Sghou’s green ones because I wanted to practice depth control (the block has a green core to let you know you’ve carved an area enough). They were lovely, but when it was time to restock I decided to get the pink ones because you get 4 more blocks for the same price! The pink ones are less rubbery than the green ones which made fine detail work loads easier! The green ones are just a bit more rubbery so I would always snag/pull the block when attempting to do finer detail. Please note though that I am a beginner, and a more experienced carver might not face that issue at all! I’ve included a picture of two projects using both SGHOU block types and you can see that I was able to get away with a lot more texture on the pink one but both blocks are AWESOME. I will continue to use this vendor for my block printing projects!!

I bought these for a teen who is currently into to carving her own stamps after trying it in a high school art class. She really loves the ease in carving and the prints came out well. They are a a much better value than some other listings on Amazon and definitely better than in the local craft stores where they average $4.50 for one name brand block. If you are careful you could carve on both sides of the block to increase your number of stamps.. I want to devise a a wood block with metal or plastic edges so the stamp could be slid in and out to make double carving even more practical. They came well packaged in two separate packs in the same box.

Carves a little easier than the speedy carve in my opinion and is cheaper. The only issue I encountered was that the measurements were a little off. Just a little bit short of 6", the 4" is accurate.

They were great quality and exactly what I ordered. They were delivered promptly and the cost was very reasonable!

These are a great deal and the same as the brand name rubber carving blocks.

As an artist, I love using these for block prints!!! It's so easy to carve into and it's helpful for teaching people how to use carving tools.

Nice carving material. Does not crumble. Slightly firmer than Speedball Speedy carve. Makes great stamps or small blocks. I only wish it was available in larger sizes. It's a good price for twelve 4x6 blocks. I would buy again for sure.
