This was a smaller sail shade but worked perfect for our needs. We bought a new house that needs lots of work and building a roof line over the new door we installed was not in our budget. So I decided to go a little decorative and get a sail. So far everyone that has seen it loves it!We did attach part of it to the roof line so water can drain off to the side instead of right in-front of the door..it creates shade, looks unique, and hopefully will help the rain that drains from the roof line, off to the side a little. It is breathable so I know water will seep through. But is it also a plastic feel material so it should help with the rain poring front of the doorway.Original I got ones that were all the same size on the size. Those didn’t work quite right, having the one side longer gives it the sail look and looks better. This was a great deal when I got it.

Living in Hawaii, I couldn’t be out in the sun during the day for more than a few minutes. Now that we have this up I can go out and sit outside anytime I want for as long as I want. It really does the job, and it’s good quality. We had to buy those extra bits and pieces to attach it to the polls, but they worked great. It’s really quite cool under it even though clearly a lot of airflow flows through it. I love the color too!

This was a replacement and is holding up well in California sun and wind.

The best location onb my place for ferns was still too hot too soon for them. I installed this sail over their garden bed this spring. They have been happy and stayed green, lush and happier for much longer.

The description indicated cloth when I searched for a cloth sail. The material was actually polypropylene

They cover less than you think so go a bit bigger. My husband thought 16x16 would have been enough. I ordered the 18x18 and still think I could have fone with 20x20 or 21x21.We bough one last year that frayed and tore after 2 months. Ordered this brand and so far so good. We have had a HOT summer so far and the material seems to be holding up (it's been 3 months). No warping, tearing, fraying or disintegrating. I will update at the end of the summer.Love the colour (grey). Gives our deck the perfect amount of shade. They are NOT waterproof though so keep your furniture covered and protected because everything will still get wet. It makes the backyard look so cozy and stylish. I LOVE IT!!!

Love these for lessening the heat and glare of direct sun in the summer. Don’t underestimate how tight it needs to be, and do the math on how widely to space the mounts. Save yourself the hassle of carabeaners and turnbuckles if you can - just use a hasp plate and a 4in cleat for mounting and securing the rope for each corner.
