These metal bricks are great! My wife is much stronger now after I've hidden about 4 of these in her purse. She says her purse is "heavy" for some reason and has to alternate carrying arms. The muscle tone in both arms is much better now.In all seriousness, the tolerance on the machined faces are within the spec listed. I use these to calibrate levels and they serve that purpose just fine.

I have used 1-2-3 blocks for 30 years. At time I needed them dead on, but not now. I have a small shop in my basement and the block are indispensable. Put up a stop fence and you can quickly mark off whole number dims from 6" down to 1". Or use them as a stop to even up multiple pieces of materials.

The blocks are close tolerance. The 1" and 2" sides were within .0001" and the 3" was within .0003". The bad news is the packaging. The blocks were wrapped in wax paper which had been beaten into flakes. They were put into a card board box which was also destroyed. The blocks had numerous dings from bouncing against each other which I had to stone off to make them usable. If not for the numerous dents, these blocks would be a great deal.
