As far as lock sets go, this ones pretty good. You just have to make sure you get the right size. A half inch makes all the difference in the world. My shed had 2x4 doors with 1/2 in. tongue and groove plywood on front, and I had to buy the 4 1/2" lock, so hopefully this helps someone else trying to figure out what size they need for thier shed/garage. The shipping is ridiculus, but these aren't just readily available at your local Home Depot either. The garage door one is, but the shaft is much shorter (like only 3" long). It works on my shed and looks nice at the same time. These t-handle locks come in real handy, and they appear much better than having to put a bulky, ugly padlock on that may rust. It also came fairly quickly.

I just re-made my shed doors and wanted a nicer handle. Was happy to see this one and took a chance on it. It's well-crafted and fits my door (2x4 plus siding) perfectly. Installed easily and I love how it snugs closed behind the left-side door which is secured by the spring-loaded barrel bolts. It also looks great on my nice new doors.

It's a little pricey for a door handle for shed but its good and sturdy, easy to install and easy to adjust for different door thicknesses. It look like its powder coated so it should last a long time.

I used this on my 10 x 14 barn. Works great!!! The key is a little tricky to get into the slot but other than that I am very satisfied. I would purchase again.

Used this T-handle to replace broken handle for my shed. Wholes for mounting the handle fit exactly to the old one which was 10 plus years old. Made the install super easy.

I purchased this item to replace one of the exact type because I lost the only key I had. Since I was merely replacing an existing unit, I picked the lock and removed the old one. Everything lined up exactly as the old unit, and it went in place without a problem. For a new installation, the average DIY person should have few if any problems, and installation should be quicker than finding all the tools you need, which would be a drill and a cross tip screwdriver. The lock is merely okay. I picked it in about 20 seconds, so it will keep honest people honest. For the price, though, it is a good value for what you get and what it is designed for. I did find that the center shaft is somewhat larger than the old one, and rubs a bit, making closing less than resistance free. Otherwise, a solid product and good for a potting shed or garbage can container. Don't use for very valuable property, though.

It worked perfectly. Excellent value for the price.I did see another version someone online that also had two bars that would slide into the frame top-and-bottom. It looked exactly like this lock set, it just had those additional bars. Though this worked exactly as advertised, I would probably buy the enhanced version next time. For my shed, I need to secure the other door a little more solidly, because when you pull on this handle, the double doors bow a little, making me a little uneasy with the security. Again, that is not a fault of this product. I just need to modify the structure a little. However, if I had bought the other version, it would have taken take of those issues in one step.

I needed to rekey my existing shed lock but opted to completely replace it when I saw this one online. It's really easy to install and appears to hold up to average weather (in NJ) well. It would be nice if the key/cylinder could be replaced with one that had more pins but that's just me wishing.
