Does what it's made for, make sure you drill your holes straight, a magnetic drill press works great for this. Use the gaskets as templates for your holes.

It really suck when it’s not plug and play. Had to add a plate in front as pictured on the 2 and 3 pick. the lock doesn’t work unless you cut the rubber piece off or add a plate.

I own a shipping container that I use to store all supplies: pellets for the pellet stove, my bicycle, the barbecue, generator, my tools and much, much more.Initially I had a MasterLock Padlock and it was useless. Someone broke in, but fortunately nothing was stolen, except for my sense of security.Naively I used another MasterLock Padlock, as a temporary measure until I was able to find a more durable lock.One day I left the key for this MasterLock in my other car, and I really needed to get into my shipping container. I took my drill and expected to be working on this lock for a while, before the lock would relent. I didn't spend more than 3 seconds (real 3 seconds) and the padlock “popped†that's the day I learned that even locks have a sense of humor!I installed a new padlock, similar to the one advertised here, but not as robust. I used it for a couple of years. I gave the keys to my neighbor, because he was using it to store some of his gear, while he was building his cabin. Unfortunately he lost the keys so I had to buy yet another padlock.This padlock proved to be more robust than the MasterLock. To remove the padlock it required more than fifteen minutes of drilling and two drill bits. Completely different experience from the miserable MasterLock.Now let’s review this Autoholic Shipping Container lock and bolt box. This is the heavyweight champion of padlocks! I was impressed from the get-go. It's the Arnold Schwarzenegger of locks, minus the accent. They keys, like “Ahnoldâ€, are of the European type (see pictures), flat with combination notches, making this lock safer and more reliable. Its heavy, but safety has its weightI purchased this combo of padlock and lock box, because I needed the padlock and my neighbor needed the lock box for his cargo container. The lock box is made of thick and consequently heavy steel.While I already installed the padlock on my container, I will update the review as soon as the lock box is installed.For now, my container is secure, and safer than a politician’s promise.

This installs super easy. It is super thick steel. We have had it on our container for a month and all is good. The lock could work a little smother but it has kept the conex locked up tight.

Good, solid product. Of course it takes a lot of fiddling and alignment work to drill it in properly, and the rubber seal between the doors is an obstruction. But a good product and I wouldn't want to be the burglar trying to fight this beast off in the middle of the night with a battery grinder.
