I have always washed my tennis shoes in the washing machine but sometimes they come out twisted so I ended up hand-washing them. I saw these bags so I thought I'd try these bags. There are two bags, one for each shoe, which is different than pictured in the Amazon listing. I did not pre-wash the bags as instructed. The shoes are definitely cleaner. Please see the pics.Most of the dirt came out. The spots that didn't are actual wear, not dirt. What I really like is that they are NOT twisted and they are spun dry. When I hand-washed the shoes, they stayed wet for days, even in the sun. These came out almost dry already from the washer. I recommend these bags. :)

I am always afraid to ruin my shoes in the washing machine, but they need washed sometimes! I bought this container to keep them protected while in the wash and am so happy with it! The bag is plenty big, even for my husbands shoes. It zips securely and I feel keeps the shoes very safe while being washed. They come out so clean looking too! I love how it protects the machine too, no more clunking around with the rubber hitting all sides. This is a great invention!

I really wanted these to work to save some time. I washed my tennis shoes in the sacks twice but it didn’t really get as clean as advertised. Shoes look better when they are hand washed. Don’t waste your money.

I've got what I consider average sized feet for a woman (8.5) and my shoes were swimming in these bags, no pun intended. My test pair are Vans sneakers and they're no ballet flats!I don't know if fitting tighter would've made an impact on their cleaning ability, but also I can't really say these necessarily got my shoes any more clean than tossing them in naked does.What they did do is quiet the process down a little. Shoes in the wash sounds like someone inside the machine, trying to kick their way out for half an hour (but with less screaming). The fuzzy fingers inside these bags certainly calmed the angry shoe sounds down, and that alone makes these worth getting.Oh and the zipper is kinda finicky on one. I'm gonna try running a bar of soap over it to see if it helps, but just something to watch out for.

I like the large size capacity of each bag. I can fit 2 pairs of kids shoes in each bag. So not overload the bag or it will open up while washing. Also make sure you use the gently cycle. Works very well I washed all my sneakers and my kids shoes also.
