I have used this on the floor and over some rough surfaces and it works nicely with my Shop Vac. What I mainly use it for however is to capture the masonry and gypsum dust that falls when I coring through sheet rock or cinder block walls. I hold it with the 'top' side against the wall under my drill bit and since it is so wide it can capture the dust immediately- saving some cleanup later.

I've used it for hooking up my planer to 2.5" shop dust collection system and this works well for that specific application because of the standard 2.5" hose connection!Btw I had to use a window seal tape for closing the air gap :)

I used this as an attachment to connect a vacuum to my Delta planner for chip extraction. Fit like a glove making using the planner far more enjoyable. You tube video showed it usage this way.

Yes, the nozzle is 2.5 and my adapter is 2.5, so I should have realized that when the OD of both devices is the same, they will not couple. But, I find some satisfaction in noting that many others have fallen into the same trap.I am somewhat surprised that the nozzle is not made to "fit" a 2.5 adapter. Or, an adapter is sold with it that says, "will fit the 2.5 nozzle".I solved the problem with a healthy dose of gorilla tape.Just realize that the OD is 2.5 and your adapter is 2.5Bring your tape.

I bought this to replace the original floor nozzle which came with our Shop-Vac, now sadly lost. Unfortunately, this product is quite inferior and in retrospect I wish I hadn't bought it.First of all, either because it doesn't make a strong connection with the floor or some other design problem, the suction when using this attachment is drastically curtailed. Second of all, the attachment is completely useless unless the surface you are vacuuming is extremely smooth, which my garage floor mostly isn't. Third of all, on the rare occasions when it deigns to add any value to the vacuuming, it can only vacuum when being pushed forward due to the line of bristles at the back of the attachment (when you pull it towards you it looks like it's cleaning until you realize that the bristles are just pushing the floor debris along); but when you push it forward you can't get a smooth motion, so you still wind up only vacuuming a fraction of the floor.I'm actually rather astonished that an actual Shop-Vac accessory could be so poorly designed.

Been looking for a distarge for my planer.stumbled accross a u tube video showing this product.Bought it hoping they were right.(some are not))I couldn`t beleive that it fit 100% .attached ,tried,and to my surprise solved my issue..THKX A BUNCH..
