I've had to return several shower mats purchased at retail stores because of a strong chemical smell upon opening, curling when putting them in place, or slippage when stepping on them in the shower. This mat did not have any of those problems. It had no odor, the mat stayed flat, and the mat remained secure when stepping on it. This mat is also well made. The non-slip backing completely covers the back side of the mat and the loofah-like top of the mat was thick and yet it felt good to the feet. I appreciate that the dimensions on the actual product also matched the product description.
