I purchased this to help save water while I take a shower and also to help when giving a shower to my 4 year old. She loves to play in the shower but I needed a way to stop the water without having to turn it off at the main shower handle and to have to adjust the water temperature each time. This way the water temperature remains the same and I can shut off or on as needed.I was impressed as it is smooth and works great. It was easy to install and use. Just needed some plumbers tape and tighten. It is solid metal and does not restrict the water like some others with smaller holes.I recommend this to anyone.

Simple in-line install on shower hose. Should have come with a piece of Teflon tape, but oh well. Works Excellent! Varies flow from full to zero very smoothly. My shower valve only lets me adjust temperature, no adjustment for flow control. This handy little item lets me adjust the water flow down to whatever level I want without having to turn my main shower valve on or off - which means if I did that I would have to adjust it every time I turned it back on for desired temperature. With this I can temporarily adjust flow to very low when needed, then back to full force without having to mess with adjusting the temperature. Works very smoothly, I’m getting another for use in my RV showerhead as this works so well, much better than the ones that come on RV showers.

I drilled our the water restrictor on my Delta and it was a bit much! But, with it just not enough pressure. So, I ordered this valve and it works great. Made of real metal and the adjuster is so easy to operate you can just dial in your pressure or stop it completely with just your thumb. Shipping was super fast. If you need to easily control pressure to you shower head, this does the trick and you don't have some clunky valve on the side. I'd say it's worth the $12.

It was always an issue, soaping up while the shower ran. Now with a simple twist of a knob I can shut off the shower, soap up, and then turn it on with the same temperature settings and not have to fuss with two separate hot and cold faucets. When the shower turns on, there is brief burst of usually very hot water but that quickly returns to the original setting. It was easy to install with some plumber goo on the threads (or a new washer).

Living with well water saves on water bills, but during a drought, this shower shut off valve is an easy and quick way to shut off the water flow at the shower head to save precious water. Installs easily with a few turns of the shower head and opens and closes with just one finger. This is all metal, not cheap plastic. Great quality!

We bought this to upgrade our camper van's shower. The normal showers will still trickle water even when you push the button on the shower head to conserve water. I have read that this is by design and supposedly guards against scalding. At any rate, we installed this on/off valve where the shower hose comes out of the faucet. It is convenient to switch on and off the water when showering. It works! It is a great water saver and we have not had any problem with water temperature .
