It will not handle 8 sheets at a time as advertised. 4 of normal weight paper will make it grunt in slow motion. For whatever reason, it cannot handle termal paper such as walmart reciepts very well, put in 4 sheets and it also grunts and slows to a crawl. The inlet slot is very narrow, 8 sheets would never go in it.Staples dont even slow it down, good job! The bin below is not very large at all for the cross cut which fluffs up the waste, it has to emptied very often. The "auto" feature has a small switch that turns it on when something is inserted, it takes more pressure than 4 sheets will produce to make it work, IF it actually has an overheat safety feature, I never saw it, ran continuously for over an hour and it never shut off.
