Used this on a boat city water connection. The old connection was working fine, but i figured after 20 years it made sense to have a new swivel piece. No issues, easy installation and product appears to be of great quality. Price was excellent as well, half of the local marine store.

I should have know better when I bought this to install in my motorhome to go along with the Shurflo accumulator tank #182-200. Where it attaches to the tank, the end with the black fitting, there is no rubber seal. It relies on the tapered nylon tube to make the seal to the male threads on the tank. Needless to say mine leaked and yes I did follow the instructions. All other plumbing connections on my motorhome either have rubber seals, tapered pipe threads, or compression sleeves. This is a poor design, period. The pipe threads on the Shurflo tank have the same of threads per inch as tapered pipe threads but they are not tapered. I believe this is because Shurflo wants to sell you their fittings and theirs only. There is no other reason not to have standard tapered pipe threads so that you could use any standard pipe fitting with Teflon tape to get a proper seal. Considering that when installed on a motorhome or boat this would be installed in a concealed location it would be best to use a fitting that is unlikely to leak. I will be buying such fittings to replace this leaky one.

These are the best types of fittings if you have a SHURflow pump. Mine holds to 70 PSI, with no leaks, after being tightened finger tight, plus one flat on the nut. Genuine SHURflo fittings, make for an easy seal with SHURflo pumps, because instead of just sealing on the threads, it has a flare or 'bulge' on the inside, that seals with a recess on the pump housing itself. It allows for good sealing, even with less than perfect alignment, without having to be cranked very tight, which is a good thing, as my pump housing is plastic.

Don’t waste your time they leak constantly.**Update - they were missing the rubber gasket on the inner tube where the black wing nut threads on. We were able to take some from some extra plumbing lines we had so they don’t leak now.Still one star because they were missing those but they now work for the desired application.
