SUNGATOR Pushfit Ball Valves
Note: Stiffeners are required for PEX tubing, but not copper and CPVC. Stiffeners can be sold and packed separately and are already preloaded into fittings for convenience as using PEX tubing is increasingly common. However, you don't have to take them out off fittings when using copper or CPVC.
Versatile Applications of Ball Valve
CONNECTION
STEP 1:
Make sure it have a clean and square cut with a cutter.
Tips: If you are on copper pipe, we further advise to ream the inside to reduce the roughness.
STEP 2:
Use deburring tool shown on the picture to ream the end of the pipe first and mark insertion depth on the pipe then.
STEP 3:
Push both ends into the fitting until the depth line covered (1/2" @ 29/32" or 23 mm). If pipe is not fully inserted, it will leave room for leakage.
STEP 4:
Complete connection.
Tips: Please conduct the water leak test before you finish the behind-the-wall application.
DISCONNECTION
STEP 1:
Position the disconnect clip next to the end.
STEP 2:
Press firmly the disconnect clip against the collar of the end.
STEP 3:
Pull the pipe out of the fitting with a twisting action.
STEP 4:
Complete disconnection.

Connect to a separate faucet for purified water.

Worked for 1/2 the price of the name brand. Note that I used a different brand for my two elbows purchase and got lemons that caused me lots of extra trouble and a trip to buy Sharkbites for twice the price. So all the knockoffs are not as good as this one.

Easy to install, as long as you transfer the stiffener to the pipe before inserting the pipe into the connector. Took off a star because when using 1" pex tubing, there's not much support for the valves when trying to open or close them. My connections don't leak, but they do have more wiggle than I like. Fixable by securing the pipe or the valve against a support.

The were a great alternative to the major brand name version at roughly half the cost. The are well constructed and nicely packaged in a sturdy plastic cases. Installation was straightforward. Really can go wrong buying these.
