Ordered this for school function. First one did not get hot. Merchant sent a replacement which arrived too late to use at school function. Second one did get hot. Now I have to figure out how to return unused one back definite inconvenience.

I had never heard of these mini Dutch pancakes/waffles before, but they sounded yummy when I looked online. This machine came very well packaged. The instructions that came with it are minimal, but there are several online videos for these type of machines that make it clear that the cooking process is simple and straightforward. I used a buttermilk pancake mix and made it with a little extra liquid (milk or water or some of each) so it would pour easily. I preheated the machine to 350 degrees, poured a little mix into each mini circle, and cooked it about 3 min each side. I turned the little pancakes with a small pair of tongs. The result was a platter of mini pancakes that tasted like regular pancakes but were easier to cook and looked much cuter--and they were yummy with maple syrup on top.The machine has a nonstick surface so it was very easy to clean--just wiped it with damp paper towels. I have only a few suggestions for the manufacturer--price the machine a little more competitively with those already selling on Amazon, include some pictures and text on the product page, and enhance the instruction book with larger text and pictures.UPDATE: I have been using this machine for nearly four weeks now, and I continue to be very pleased. The machine heats up to the set temperature and maintains it (I find that about 375-400 works best for me). It is very easy to clean up. I just wipe the top with a damp paper towel and then a dry one. Nothing sticks. Also, I found that a cake tester (very thin metal probe) works best for easily and quickly turning the little pancakes--just stab and flip them.

This is a fun little mini pancake maker and that's very easy to use. You definitely want to be careful when flipping your pancakes so as to not scratch the surface. I highly recommend something made of wood or silicone. Well I did have fun using this to make both regular pancakes and Dutch pancakes i find it hard to pay the price that this is asking for. Granted this is just my experience as a home user. Things may be different if you are running a restaurant. Either way I enjoy using this. It's just a price that's kind of getting me.

My kids and I love our pancakes. This pancake machine makes it fun and easy to make. The kids especially love the small size of the pancakes and have a lot of fun eating them. I was worried when I saw this thing at first that it might be a pain to use, but it's super easy. Cleanup is super easy. The one and only problem that I have isn't even with the Pancake maker itself, but is with the fact that I have a small kitchen and storage is limited. Yeah, I'm going to get fat!

This mini pancake maker makes a big batch of pancakes at a time, and has two separate temperature control zones. It is a bit on the bigger side for residential use, but it does work great if you have a place to store it when not in use. The cooking surface is non-stick, making the pancakes easy to remove, and with the two separate timers you can stagger the cooking between sides to keep a continuous stream of pancakes coming off the griddle. It cooks quickly and evenly across the surface, and would definitely be great for use in a small to medium sized diner or restaurant.
