The directions could have been a little more descriptive and they should tell you you have to hammer the piece on the distributor shaft but ultimitetly it's an easy install and it fired right up and runs great .I wish I got rid of the points years ago. I strongly reccommend.

Out old mercruiser 470 was resurrected by swapping points for this, When we received the boat it did not run. It was a simple plug and run install just be sure to cut a slot in the distributed cap or else you may break it.

Converted over my 1986 4-Winns.Easy to install. Increased overall RPMs. No more points to mess with. Works great.Starts great. Should have installed this years ago.

My 26 year old Four Winns would not start this year. After messing with new points etc. Ordered The Sierra electronic conversion kit and a Flame Thrower Coil P/N 40011 1.5 ohms. After installing these parts just bumping the starter the engine is running better than when it was new. Do yourself a favor install this in your boat!

Only used the boat a few times since installing it, but it's worked perfectly. Note: Make sure when installing it that you push it down REALLY hard. I thought it was sitting perfectly, but it wasn't down far enough which caused the engine to backfire since the rotor wasn't spinning properly.

I got sent a used part that didn’t work and had pieces missing and the company won’t give me a refund. Don’t order anything from CAS Power Marine, you’ll probably get ripped off.

Spent hours trying to get it to work, replaced several other components (including coil) with no success. Seller took return of item and provided prompt refund though!
