Product Description

Synergetic Test Lube aceite para cadena de bicicleta cadena de bicicleta bike chain lube wax accesso

Synergetic Wet Lube - Award winner

Following the huge success of SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube and Super Secret Chain Blend, it became clear to us that the vast majority of cyclists are still interested in using oil based wet lubricants for both ease of use and reduced time commitment to get started. While hot melt wax and drip wax may ultimately be slightly more efficient and cleaner running, the requirement of starting with a perfectly clean, dry chain, and the 300-mile re-application intervals are not for everybody.

The pins above were made from E52100 bearing steel and were subject to wear against a spinning ring per ASTM G77 test protocols. Testing found SILCA NFS (a Type V base oil), the previous best oil-based lubricant according to Zero Friction Cycling testing, to reduced wear 25% compared to an advanced (Type IV-PAO base oil) oil. Further testing of additives showed the ability to reduce wear by an additional 10-15%, however, the combination of WS2 and ZDDP proved to reduce wear by more than 95% compared to the Type IV base oil.

SILCA Synergetic Wet Chain lube

The fastest wet lube ever independently tested! ZFC in Australia

The test is designed to replicate real world situations to help you choose the best chain lube for your bicycle. Up until 2020 only 1 lubricant had made it through all 6 test blocks below 100% wear, and 95% of lubricants tested fail the test before reaching block 6

SILCA WS2 technology has produced lubricants in all 3 lubricant type categories which make it to block 6 including the current all-time test winner, SILCA Secret Blend hot wax which has beaten the previous record holder by nearly 4x!

Best lube. Gets dirty as does any wet lube. Waxing is always best but I’m lazy. Best lube. No squeaks ever. It does take a bit longer to apply properly (drip for drip)

Was using an oil by Bontrager but this is absolutely the best oil ever. Lasts well, no drying out.

Haven't needed a wet lube yet, but I did oil my derailer bushings. Supposedly one of the best wet lubes on the market.

Expensive, but it completely quiets out my chain. Last a long time too, a lot better than the muc off I was using from before.

It's fine, not sure it attracts dirt and grime any less than the cheaper offerings (Finish Line) but I use it on my nice road bike and use cheaper stuff on my fatbike and touring bike.

I have used Silca wax before and while it is arguably better than any other oil based lubricant, lets face it. Chain waxing quickly gets tiring and is messy even for experienced mechanics. This Silca oil based lube, in my opinion comes pretty close as far as shifting performance goes. It is still summer and dry so I wasn't able to test how it fares in muddy/rainy conditions but so far so good. I have a hunch that since it is wet lube, it will naturally attract more dirt compared to wax too but you can't beat the ease of use. This is a no mess, easy peasy as good as wax solution. With that said, I feel the lube is thicker than most other oil based lubes especially the gold lube I was using earlier which is watery thin and slides down the chain easily. This one sticks to chain pretty good. Remember, this is not clean and lube two in one lube. You need to clean chain separately before applying the lube as instructed on the bottle. While the application is easy, the prep for application takes time. For one you need to clean the chain proper and then shake this bottle vigorously as the black particles in it are stubborn and like to stick to bottom. For the first time I shook the bottle for a minute before the thick slurry mixed into the lube. It also smells like motor engine oil. However since it is thick, it does not splash everywhere as you spin the crank. After a full application I didn't see a single droplet fall down on the ground. After the application it is recommended to wipe any excess lube which is what I did and yes, it is thick and sticky to touch. The shifts are EXCELLENT. I am willing to bet this is the best oil based lube I have ever had. They claim it is ultra long lasting on the packaging, a claim I am yet to verify. However if it goes even 300 miles on one application I will be more than happy.I will update this review once rains hit to see if it can be easily washed off. Till then, even considering the high price it is worth every penny.Update after 100 miles -I can still see the wet lube on cassette. The chain looks wet too. We are on our way to 300 miles.Update after 300 miles -Last photo in the series. The lube is still wet to touch and can be wiped off easily. There are some flakes on the cassette but shifting is still rather smooth. It's probably time to clean and relube but you can easily stretch this to 400 miles. That is incredible for 1 application. With such mileage on one use that tiny bottle is going to last a long time!

I use bike for commute most days, so I end up putting quite a lot of miles on it weekly (~50 miles). Oiling the change is a must to keep it in shape. I usually do it once every quarter or so. I used R-n-R Gold all this time. It worked great. A little while, I came across this blended oil and decided to give it a try. Turns there's a noticeable difference in smoothness of gear shifting with this oil. I was actually surprised how much difference it made. The chain feels smoother too. Call me a convert!

On most of my bikes, I've switched to chain waxing, but on my commuter bike, wet lube is a must for rainy days and winter riding.Synergetic is the best I've ever tried, hands down. Easy application, wipes off cleanly and doesn't sling.I could feel and hear the difference immediately. My chain was noticeably quieter, and riding felt more like gliding. Shifts are also smoother. I have no idea how many watts I'm saving, but the durability in wet conditions is what matters more in this application. The improvement in friction is a bonus. If you need a wet lube, just get this, nothing else compares.

A little expensive but it's worth it for what it costs. It lasts a lot, more than 1,000 kilometers without problems. The only negative point I find is the dirt that attracts but it is normal since it is wet.

This lube is so far really good. Drive train is silent and it's relatively clean for a wet lube. Can't speak to the durability yet as I've only had it on my bike for about a week .
