These things get very hot, I didn't measure, but likely up to the 194 F cutoff temperature. Too hot to put in direct contact with a lithium battery, IMO. So I attached them to an aluminum heat sink the size of the pad. The pads get hot but the heat sink fins are at a lower temperature. However, they only put out about 60 watts. It seems the pad is too small to put out 150 watts at 194F.

Got these to keep my RV batteries warm. They do get very hot, but did not damage the batteries. The one adhesive left loose after 6 weeks so I can no longer use it. Trying a different product that only heats to 50 watts, and a battery blanket to see how that works. I did pick up a $20 weather station so I can put the exterior probe in the battery compartment to track the temperature. That works very well. The battery and compartment is mostly open to the outside. My goal is to keep the batteries above freezing temperature.

This pad is alarmingly hot. When I plugged it in, within 30 seconds it was way too hot to touch, and the pad emitted fumes. The center button did not work to lower the temperature control. Great concept - combine small pad with high heat output, but the unit was scary hot.Quick and easy return process, an immediate refund was issued.

I bought the 150W two pack. They get so hot you can't hold onto them, and a lot hotter. I would guess around 200 degrees. This is way too hot for a battery.
