this has been perfect for my smoker. no fiberglass getting everywhere, folds easily, helps the smoker heat up faster and use less pellets staying hot. probably will pay for itself in pellets after the first year.

These are WAY WAY better than the traditional fiberglass welding blankets. They don’t leave behind all the loose fibers that get all over you.Also, the grommets make it easy to hand and secure as needed.

They lasted about 5 jobs. One was inside at a restaurant. Unfortunately after about 5 jobs the fiberglass starts flake and you will itch.Spend the money and buy leather

This welding blanket works great. It's surprisingly thin, but stops any spatter or sparks from becoming a problem. The material feels like a heavy tarp with a waxy coat of silicone. Of course, because it's thin, it's not going to stop the heat from a large object placed on it, like the hot end. I like that it has grommet holes on the corners to make it easy to hang. In my case, it's just keeping a garage door from getting grimy, so the grommets can be wired to a few bolts. Also, both sides are the same, so if aesthetics are a concern, it can be flipped once one side has grown some character. If needed, it's easy to fold, just like a heavy tarp, and comes with a good storage bag.

My garage was getting sparks and embers on everything. This completely eliminated it and still looks new albeit with some dark spots. If your are welding this does the trick. Lightweight and easy to use.

If you're looking for a very high quality welding blanket with hi-visability and excellent insulating qualities then this is a great blanket. I git the 4x6 version and I use it to catch grinding sparks in a very small area. I'm very happy with this welding blanket.
