We use this can to burn our cardboard and junk mail. We love it. It is safe and keeps everything contained. It helps get rid of all the boxes and junk mail pieces quickly and with minimal effort. I recommend to anyone who is good with burning their junk mail and cardboard.

I have been using this to burn sensitive papers. Gets good ventilation and keeps sparks and trash from floating out and away. It is light to move around. Ash does fall out of the holes. So you have to place it in an area that will not catch on fire. I have mine sitting on pieces of slate. Very pleased that it is doing the job I wanted it to do. Much easier than shredding if you have lots of papers to burn.

You can cancel your trash collection service and get rid of your shredder. This can does it all and fast. It only needs a part of an item in the can to ignite and the entire contents no matter the material will in incinerate. Just drop trash in the can, light it, cover it and walk away. The smoke plumes up top and the air flow through the sides are what keeps the flames working inside. Everything turns to ash. The metal feet keep the can off of the ground and does not get hot. This was the best investment to ward off nosey neighbor trash diggers, rid out the trash and yard waste in a secure manner.

4 stars due to missing hardware for legs - was missing one bolt,but it was easy to substitute a bolt for this. Does what it says. Will see how long it lasts outside.

Ive used it a few times and it does a really great job at containing the flames and ashes. The smoke is managable but is mostly a result of what you burn, not the can itself. Its super useful for the price and helps get around open burning ordinances when you need to dispose of wood waste.That being said, galvanization is not meant for heat. It burns off easily if you let it get too hot. Just be aware if you go overboard with filling it you will burn off the galvanization which will result in rusting. Not totally the fault of the can as I am the one who let it get too hot. But at the same time who designs a "fire can" out of galvanized metal?

No problem putting the legs on. Put a bunch of paper in there to burn and it did a great job. I did stir it through the holes to get it to burn faster and get all of the paper burned. It burned it down to ash and I did not have a problem with any tiny burning pieces of paper getting out while burning.

Poor packaging. Lid was bent in order to fit in the bin. No packaging to help support the bin so it wouldn't get bent during shipping. Also note the holes are extremely sharp! I cut my finger when I placed it back in the shipping box. Now I have to return this item.

I needed to burn yard waste on 1 acre lot. This really works well. The vents keep the fire burning and the lid gives you the confidence to walk away.
