Worked great for placing one on the bottom of my fireplace to protect the spalling cement that I repaired, and another at the back to reflect more heat into the room and not up the chimeny.

Not sure that I notice added reflected heat into the room. The first use the paint bubbled. Item is as described.

This backer fits perfectly and does what it is advertised to do.We feel more heat coming from our fireplace burning wood and the back wall is protected.

1st fire and the coating is bubbling. I have never had this with cast iron and it makes me nervous that we are breathing in chemicals.

I was wanting something that retained and reflected the heat in our fireplace and found this item. I quickly measured our fireplace to make sure I had the right fit and ordered it. I was surprised a the quality of the build and how well it looked in the fireplace. To me it fit perfectly, retained and reflected the heat and was an outstanding value for the money. I recommend these for fireplaces.
