I have a Simple Human wall mounted paper towel holder and some other kitchen products that have lasted many, many years and still look new. Simple Human is a brand that has proven itself in my home. But were their trashcans worth the extra money?YES!!!Athough it's just a trashcan, it came in a nice box with packing material to protect it and an information card about the product features. Amazon also packs this into their own box with cushioning. Thanks Amazon!Soon as I opened it, I knew this trashcan was special! It's solid, weighted and not going to be going anywhere. It's base is protective and won't mar my wood floors. I bought an open design as everyone in my home is too impatient to wait for a lid to open, and I didn't have much room or want moving parts. My model has a rim cover that comes off, there is an inner pail that lifts out so you can just carry that part to be emptied OR you can use trash liners. The plastic pail can be washed or sprayed with Lysol for extra sanitizing.It comes with a sample pack of 25 custom-fit liners in a pop-up dispenser bag. I love these liners! I know, I know...it's just a dang trash bag. I thought it was a gimmick but they really have features I appreciate. They fit tightly over the edge of the inner pail - so when you put the rim cover back on, it covers the bag perfectly. No bag hanging over the edge, bunching-up, or my biggest pet peeve - falling back inside. It's not going to budge until you remove it. The trashbag also conforms to the inner shape of the can as well, more open space = less bag changes. Sanitary. You'll see! The bags are durable, have a drawstring and are available on Amazon. Just refer to the Letter Size that's made for your model, mine is an "F". If you don't want to purchase custom liners - just use whatever bag fits best, it'll still hold trash!The outer trashcan itself is really high-end, solid construction, great looking and contemporary - not trendy. It will easily last a decade or two which offsets it's initial cost . I got the brushed chrome finish which really does resist fingerprints. The narrow rectangle shape fits perfectly next to a bathroom sink or toilet. I almost feel bad calling it a 'trashcan' as it's so astheticically pleasing. Now I want to upgrade all my trashcans with the Simple Human brand!*PLEASE READ THE DIMENSIONS!This is not a kitchen-sized trashcan nor is it big enough for recycling or bulky items - unless you empty it often. It's slim and perfect for bathrooms, under desks or compact areas. I purchased the non-recycling model and it's perfect for my bathroom!

Here's a secret to life that I've learned: If you want the best trashcan, go with SimpleHuman. Some would refer to this as a #lifehack. Yes, you will pay more than the majority of other brands, but you're going to introduce something into your home that will last many years, bring function into your daily routine and space, and look beautiful while doing it.'Ive found this to be the perfect small open profile trashcan. For my purpose, I intended to use under my vanity in the master bath. This open profile can is ideal for this particular space as the area is small. It fits under the cabinet and allows enough room to share the area with the vanity chair. Open profile cans in general are ideal for a space that requires quick access and for disposal of trash that isn't odorous or unsightly. Since I mostly just dispose of makeup wipes and toiletry packaging in this area, the design of this can works perfectly for this need.Tip: If you're a pet owner, consider what you'll be using this for prior to buying it. It works in my case because the contents are all composed of items my dog doesn't feel the need to explore. (I have the lidded versions next to each of the toilets in my house, mostly because my dog has developed a taste for used feminine hygeine products-Yuck!)The custom liner (these are too nice to be called "trash bags" Lol) is concealed by the overlay top. On the front side of the bin, there's a little loop that's used to pull a small section of the liner through. This helps to prevent air from getting trapped into the can.The can can be positioned from either orientation: Front or side, both look good.You can actually store the small container of trash bags inside the can, in between the internal liner and the base. That way, you'll never need to search for bags!The stainless steel material is fingerprint resistant. Unlike previous versions (I've owner older models), this hybrid steel is made of a special polymer that resists marks created by the oils on finger-pads. Of course, this doesn't mean that it's "everything-proof." It still gets smudges and shows debri, but the cool thing is that it's super easy to clean off. Just use a damp rag or paper towel to wipe and then buff it with a dry version. I've found that stainless steel cleaner works well too, so I use it probably once a month as a protectant. Any more frequent use tends to create a product residue that dulls the natural luster and it will attract dust.

Up until now we have had a garbage under the sink with a lid on it. Makes sense right? Keeps the smell in, keeps things tidy...Since I bought this open top garbage can, I feel like it changed my life! It was a small micro-annoyance to constantly have to lift the lid of my old garbage, but now I just toss the garbage in the bin. It doesn't smell, it doesn't look gross - what is does do is save me time, avoid awkwardly having to lift the old lid, avoid having the lid rest on some food and get dirty.Also simplehuman is worth the extra money. The bags fit perfectly, have drawstrings and make garbage somehow less.. dirty. I love this garbage can!

I love this product. My old under-the-sink garbage pail was round and did not make use of the space we had. In our newly-renovated kitchen I ordered the above pail and it is absolutely perfect. Fits well and looks great. Very easy to keep clean and remove the full bags. I am one "happy Amazon customer".

Fabulous! Yes it’s very pricey for what it is but it looks great and will last a very long time .It hold more then you would think when you first look at it..Came with a few garbage bags too.One blue receptacle and one black.Easy to empty.
