I put off writing a review for a few months. Partly because I forgot, but the other is to see how I actually like this can. I am very pleased with my purchase. I use the twist tie garbage bags. They go over the mouth of the can tightly with a little stretch required. That's perfect in my book, but it may depend on the brand of bag and style you use. I like that the lid doesn't hinge outward where it rubs into the wall I have my can located. The cheaper cans all hinge outward. This lid stays in the confines of the can like the Simple Human brand does. The quality is fine. The can came to my house undented (lots of complaints in reviews about that). The nice wide foot pedal works well. It does have some areas that collect bits of garbage, but otherwise it's easy to clean. I am happy with the purchase and recommend the can.

Was great to keep my dog from opening the trashcan. The flush lid made it so that he couldn’t use his nose to open the trash. We had tried so many different ones which was getting pricey. He even learned hove to open our automatic sensor one. This was perfect and solved the issue. Very sleek!

Bought this can to replace one I purchased from BJs that lasted less than 2 years before the foot peddle broke off. This can is a little larger and has a bucket to slide in and out of the shell of the stainless can. This makes it much easier to load and unload the trash bags from. The inset top does not hit the cabinet when you open it unlike my old one. I was a little concerned by several reviewers of this unit, of the top not closing properly. This happened to me a few times early on. after a closer inspection this is USER error not a defect in the can. The plastic tub that slides into the stainless housing needs to line up perfectly into the holding spots in the floor of the main container. If they do not the lid will not close all the way because the liner bucket is ticking up just a little bit to high. It is not readily noticeable, but that is what is happening. Has not been an issues since. I have only had it a few weeks but so far so good. Far better than the one I purchased from BJs!

The cute little dog pictured in my review photo was a trash hound with our old bins - making messes, getting pudgy, interrupting a quiet evening after dinner with her trash-digging maneuvers. These new bins are awesome. After 2 months, no complains and I wish we got them sooner. Sturdy build. Sleek design. The lid sits just inside the rim making it impossible for a dog to lift with their nose. I like that it’s more squares than rounded bc it means your fill capacity is maximized.

It’s “pretty†but it came dented (no noticeable bumps on the box so it came from the manufacturer that way) and the lid only opens like 65 degrees vs 90. Too big to return (and I rarely return anything anyways) so this will be a loss for me.
