This is a nice set of 40 polyester thread colors for machine embroidery. They came in a useful 2-tiered plastic box. It is a good way to begin machine embroidery without investing a lot of money. I team them with polyester pre-wound bobbins.

I got this as a birthday gift for a family member. I asked her opinion of the product and this is what she said. She’ll use this thread for both machine and hand embroidery. She likes the satiny shine to it. Hand embroidery thread is really expensive so this is her alternative. This was used one sold by Amazon and was a lot cheaper than new one from the actual brand store, so the box came in original packaging without the cardboard box. Unfortunately, the plastic organizer was broken on one side when I got it. I talked to customer service and they were really nice and very happy to help me find a resolution. I am very grateful to them.

The good: the selection of colors is great, the thread is silky looking, so far I have not experienced the thread quality issues that some other reviewers have mentioned. The color numbers match the Brother machine references.The bad: the box is really a gimmick. It was partly why I picked this set, to keep things organized. However, the plastic box is very poor in quality. It already came all bent and it never closes properly. The dividers slide off of their track and not all the threads fit in there, some came all jammed with others. I also did noticed that this thread is ever so slightly thinner than the simplicity pro that came with my machine. Also, these are "mini" cones or 500 yards, not the 1000 plus yards of the cones I am used to see. As I said, you get what you paid for.

I do a lot of machine embroidery and have been using Simthread with great results. This was an order for the thread with a plastic carrier. Very nice and would order again.

I really liked the set and all the colors. The box wasn't the greatest but it holds all the colors perfectly and it didn't arrive damaged or anything like some of the other reviewers. Excellent color variety and I really like the quality of the thread.

The thread and carry box seemed a bit expensive at first, but it is not. You get a ton of thread and extras too.The thread sews very smoothly and there are some amazing colours in the box. Some fluorescent looking ones too.I would definitely recommend this purchase for any embroiderer. The colours are fantastic.

I bought these about 6 months ago and i honestly love them. I have since purchased the 120 spool set and bobbin thread as well. The colours are fantastic, it is so easy to find the thread end and i finally don't have thread breaks every few minutes! The delivery time was super quick and the storage container is perfect to keep them in.
