First day out I used it several times and was pretty happy, but then the cable snapped. I am sure I was below the 2.5 ton rating. Went back to my old chain choker, which is harder to get off the logs, but it pulled the same tree just fine, no breakage. Fortunately it appears Amazon is taking this back and issuing a refund. For lighter loads I think it would be a good tool, but beware pulling big logs!
