It can be hardwired or just use batteries. Simple to hardwire if you already have the wiring ability. It tested fine. Difficult to give a review of it actually working without an actual crisis.

It was easy to install, the volume of the warning alert is high. The voice commands aren’t loud. I haven’t had long to review value yet

These are these ones to get. Wired, so they all go off when there is a fire in another location. 10 year battery included. Good for fire and carbon dioxide. Easy to mute large button is shaped so broom can push button. This one is all you need for 10 years.

This is easy to set up and install.I also discovered that the 3 pack unit have very weak LED light. I can' hardly see it even with the light in the room turned off. However, the single unit have super clear LED Ring that is visible even with room light on full. My phone camera picked up the LED lot more than my eyes can. Just seems like they are not the same quality.The one annoying thing is you can't change to only one language. Guess I can learn a few French phrases.
