Real water proof material in snow and water and did great at yosemite with snow and slush. Yet to take it through a storm but worked great when rolling in the snow, snow ball fights, slipping and falling in snow etc. will ipdate the review after my oregon hike! Edit: yes it works great and for the record I bought this when it was priced at $130

I have been out in this jacket in monsoons & kept me perfectly dry. It is pretty light weight. It has bailed me out several times. If I could give more than 5 stars I would

I recently purchased the dew point jacket for my Alaskan caribou hunt. The rain was a factor every single day and I my dew pint performed as expected. The only fault that I do not particularly like is the little ties on the end of the zippers under the armpits. The vented zippers. They seem to want to come off from time to time. They do not stay taught. Maybe something they could change. But Gore-Tex says it all when it’s comes to dryness. The outer shell of this jacket is tough and made it through my trip. I’m looking forward to many more adventures Sitka.

It's Sitka Gear what can I say other than it's the best. It fits like it's supposed to. the water repelling ability is awesome. It cuts wind very will. I use this cover any time it's raining.
