Using a cable tester, look at the light matrix at the bottom of each image. A diagonal pattern indicates all 3 pins are connecting. Two of the images are independent MIDI and TRS cable connections to demonstrate the indicated diagonal pattern and that they connect successfully. However, the other two images show incomplete diagonal patterns (connection failures) when the MIDI-to-TRS adapter is being used.It's a crapshoot: Some electronics may compensate but many won't.Find a better cable that actually conforms to the spec.

Ordered this for a Russian bass, cable buzzes relentlessly (bending it the right way stops it, but still doesn’t pass any signal. Junk product, wish my bass arrived sooner so I’d still be eligible for a refund. Don’t buy.

Doesn't follow midi spec. (Uses pins 1,2,4 instead of 2,4,5)
