All perfect die cutting machines for card making, so you won’t be short on projects you can utilise this die set for! What is die cutting? Die cutting is a quick and easy way of producing individual, or mass shapes from paper, foil, cardstock or even chipboard using a machine and die, instead of cutting by hand. What cuts my material? A die cutting machine will always be necessary in order to die cut, though it's not the machine itself that physically cuts your material. Your chosen die (for example a Sizzix Bigz, Thinlits or Framelits die), is responsible for cutting the design. . . the machine just applies the pressure. So if you're ever unsure if you can die cut a certain material, check the compatibility of your die rather than your machine! How do I use a Thinlits die? It’s easy! Grab your Big Shot Machine (660200) and Standard Cutting Pads (655093) to get started. Firstly, take one cutting pad and place your Thinlits die on top. Then, place your chosen material on top of the die. Complete your sandwich with your second cutting pad placed on the top of the Thinlits die and chosen material and it’s ready to go! With one roll through your die cutting machine, your design will be revealed. Note: An Adapter Platform (658992) will be required when using Thinlits dies with any of our Sizzix Big Shot machines. Simply place this under the sandwich you’ve created and you’re ready to go! If you've already purchased a one of our Big Shot machines, your adapater is included! I tried out each of these dies and they cut crisply and accurately. They are intricate and beautiful. I was a bit anxious that they wouldn't cut out completely or that I would have to spend a lot of time punching out the little pieces. I have a project that will require me to punch out 70 of these and they are perfect.

The crochet dies cut out beautifully. Because they are very detailed using a precision base plate is a good choice when cutting. Also when running the dies through your cutting machine do so at a slight angle as opposed to straight through to allow the rollers on your machine to pass over with better pressure.The smaller dies measure approximately 5 1/2" while the larger ones are approximately 6 1/8". However, I found that you are not limited to that length. I discovered that while cutting the pattern out I was able to remove, clean out the die and line the end of die back up to the end of the previous piece to continue the cut very well, thus increasing the size of the crochet cutout to accommodate the size I needed for my project, i.e. 7" boarder for my 5" x 7" card format

There is so much detail in these gorgeous lace dies. They cut perfectly when using the Chrome Precision Base Plate which I highly suggest. Note: these dies are open on the ends so that they can be repeated to get longer diecuts of lace. I found it to be easy to line them up to get the longer pieces. It was also easy to trim the ends to the length I needed. The dies arrived in perfect condition.

Very nice die and the die envelope is great. Lots of small bits to remove after the die is cut but l have tool to do that, so not so bad. This tool can also be purchased on amazon. Nice addition to a project. Arrived on time and in good condition.
