I have an old pair of hockey skates that I use about 2-3 times a year, and I would always ties the laces together but it seemed to be a pain. Decided to see what Amazon had to offer and came across this adjustable strap with the metal buckles. While my skates don't directly have any thing to clip onto, I had two options - I could pass the strap through the blade holder and clip the buckle to the strap (almost forming a letter P), or I'm able to clip the buckle directly to the laces where they cross on the skate tongue. I opted for the latter and so far it's working great. I'm able to carry the skates over my shoulder with no problems, and now they hang on a hook in my garage. Glad I got this strap.

Does the job and does it well, mostly. 4 Stars only because I wish the strap was not so long. Even at its shortest length it leaves your boots dangling pretty far. The shoulder pad could use a little padding but that's a luxury

The strap is very strong but made of a softer material than I expected, which is great as it allows you to carry it for extended periods of time. The hooks are very strong and can hold a good bit of weight without bending. While the strap is sold as something to hold your ski equipment with, I have found multiple other uses for it. I currently have it attached to a QD ring as the strap is the perfect length to keep my rifle close to my chest but enough room to aim when needed.

Nothing spectacular about it. It's a strap with hooks on each end which can be used for your snowboarding boots or the ones you take off. You could easily use a strap off of a duffel bag and get the same results. But for the price, if you don't already have a spare strap, it's pretty reasonable.

This boot carrier is not great. It is adjustable but if you adjust it to the shortest size, the shoulder pad can't get past the buckle (see the picture) which means that the shoulder pad is at the end of the strap and can't be adjusted to be used on your shoulder. The metal hooks are also pretty cheap.

These have quality metal snap hooks and buckles. The nylon webbing also feels durable. The strap length is adjustable. This boot strap carrier has all of the features that you would want/need. I recommend it.

This is a hook strap that hangs your boots on your shoulder or backpack. The hooks can easily attach and detach from the snow boots and the elastic strap helps you hook up the boot to either your shoulder or the backpack. Perfect for someone who loves to go skiing!

While this is billed as a ski boot strap, it works great as a replacement strap on just about anything that uses a strap. I have it on a large laptop case with a lost the strap, and it's a perfect replacement. So, yes it hooks up to ski boots and roller blades, but also luggage, cases, and just about anything that uses this kind of strap. The clasps are secure and the band is strong. Great strap! Cheers.

As a Canadian, our new year is determined by our winter sports participation. I use to carry skates around with my analog hands dangling from my arm. This year, I've decided to enhance myself. These carrier straps allow me to forgo my limbs to do other things while they hang from my neck. Clips easily to most boots and skates and use your neck as a third arm. Wonderful.

It’d functional but not the best quality. The shoulder pad is paper thin but the big issues is tjst the metal on the clips is poorly finished and borderline sharp. Grab it the wrong way and I’m pretty sure it would cut flesh. Exercise some caution and it will do the job.

If you are stuck carting lots of things to the ski hill, this is a lifesaver. It clips easily to the boots, giving your hands more freedom to carry the other things.

This strap is long, adjustable and has two metal clips to carry your boots. As another reviewer had also mentioned, the edges on the metal clips are quite rough and sharp. The metal should be filed down to smooth out the edges so you don't cut your skin. Another thing that could be improved is if the clips could be bigger. That would make it easier when clipping on to the boots. It's not perfect but it will work just fine for carrying my snowboard boots.
