Great saw, left handed, works for me. Sight view and directional control excellent. Depth setting is a easy and accurate setting. Angle set is also good. Weight, light.

I’ve owned two of these and the only reason I don’t still have the first is that I gave it away. These are killer saws for the money. I’ve never used them professionally so I can’t speak to that but for a hobbyist/homeowner I have never wanted for more. It’s light, powerful and adjusts easily and accurately. I’ve started acquiring other Skil tools recently for my work truck (12v) and I’m extremely impressed with the quality and the value to the point that I sometimes feel kinda stupid for getting into the Milwaukee Fuel line for my 18v tools. I love them but my wallet isn’t so thrilled lol

This saw replaced my 40 year old Craftsman saw ( they don't make them like that anymore ). It isn't any lighter than the old saw. They weigh about the same. But, the saw is precise and sets up well. I particularly like that it does not have a thumb safety for the trigger. The bevel and depth controls are positive, and the deck is solid magnesium not stamped steel. If you are going to use it with a straightedge, make sure the edge is at most 1/4" thick if you are going under the motor side. The saw comes with a 24T blade. I prefer using a 60T blade in my hand saw for smoothness so I got a diablo blade for it. But I am sure it will be fine with the 24T blade. Most other people I know use the 24T blade. The saw has a longer than average power cord so you won't hang up ripping a 4x8 sheet. I've never had that happen, but I hear it does occur.

I'm a carpenter for 25 years. I bought this saw last year. Love it! It's my go to saw for building projects and I'm very happy with my purchase! I recommend buying this saw!

China made but very good quality.....not everything made in China is junk BTW.....just a lot cheaper. The lower tier Skil Saws are just horrible....like the lower tier Craftsman. Guards are shaky and loose.....motors just don't feel right when running. This model is a definite step up however......The only thing I would recommend changing is to make and install a better blade guard lever as plunge cutting is a little awkward....not a problem on older Skil models.....and you can find this mod on You Tube. Overall, a great saw.

I really didn't need another circular saw, but I couldn't pass up the Amazon limited-time price.I used it for the first time recently to break down some rough lumber, specifically crosscutting some 1.5" thick, 12" wide cherry boards. This saw cut through it like butter. So smooth. I did replace the stock blade with a 40 tooth CMT blade, so this may have helped. In any event, my first impressions with the saw are very positive. I feel confident it will cut most anything that I throw at it. Seems to be an excellent value.

I was skeptical about buying this Skil brand saw, because at one time Skil tools were considered high quality but in more recent periods that was not the case. However, after reading the reviews and comparing the price and feature of this saw I took a chance. So far I've been pleasantly surprised. This saw cuts true and effortlessly through 3/4 hardwood plywood and "2 by' framing lumber. The saw is lightweight and easy to handle and adjusts quickly and accurately. I do a lot of plywood sawing and the fence is exactly 5 inches wide at the blade, which makes setup easy and accurate. The saw motor housing also has enough clearance to pass over a reasonably small clamp like the kind I use to hold my guide fence in position. The saw has a good long cord that keeps that pesky plug out of way of my work. The motor housing is a high grade plastic and the base plate seems to be a cast aluminum, both making it light and easy to handle and control. After using this saw several times I'd say Skil's commitment to quality is back.

I've had many a circular saws over the yrs, many different brands. This one has been the most pleasurable to use. The lighter weight is the key. A couple of pounds makes a huge different. It also appears to be well made and has plenty of power. I got it on sale for $79. Helluva deal!

Have always purchased Skill saws and this one is no different, it is improved from the other skill models, nice holding angles and improved view of the blade while cutting. The saw is also much lighter than the older models I have had from years ago.

Es una de las mejores sierras que he tenido es un gran salto de una sierra circular black AND Decker y se lleva como mantequilla el pino sólido de 1"
