These are short hanging and pretty sheer. Allows for the sun to come through and not cover a large part of upper window. I used for decorative purposes only and they fit the bill! If you want something to block light or create privacy...these are not it. These are to doll up a window to look cute.

They look nice but very cheaply made. I don't know if I would buy them again. The material is nice though. It is very thin.

I bought these to go with my indoor shutters. The shutters go half way up the window and these make it look complete. I needed a very short valance as my shutters go a bit more than half way up and these are the perfect length and apparently a hard to find length. Most valances are longer.
