We loved this product! The backpack portion was comfortable for our 5 year old and she did not complain about having to wear it. The leash portion easily detached when she was on the ski lifts. The leash did not hinder parent ability to ski/snowboard, nor did it prevent our daughter from safely being able to stop on her own. We would absolutely recommend this purchase.

This product is very well built and it worked for us.This was only my second time at the slopes with 5 y.o. my daughter. The first time I was mostly hand holding her on my side. When I first told her we were going to use this on our second time, she was reluctant as she thought it would be step backwards. We talked more, showed her the video and agreed to just give it a try and decide together if we were going to use it further.We tried it and the result was amazing! It gave her enough freedom and easily allowed me to keep her speed reasonable. Consider I am a very novice skier, I'm in my forties and have only been in the slopes like five times in my life.We spent the whole day using it, during a break she made a point to tell how happy she was I had gotten it.For me, it gave me the ability to enjoy the day skiing with good posture and help her build confidence.I hope soon we won't need it anymore, for now, this makes me look forward to continue to go out to the mountain.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter and continue to use it with my 3 year old son. I love how easy it is to pick them up and get them onto a lift and how much control I have over how fast they go. I find that I can encourage them to make a turn though they still have to initiate it themselves. The only grip I have is that it can be a little challenging to attach the straps to the harness especially while wearing gloves due to the design of the buckle/carabiner at the end of the strap.Overall this product did exactly what I hoped it would and help my daughter progress from her first time on skis to linking turns and confidence of blue runs in a month.

If you want to safely work with your childen to teach them to ski, this is an invaluable device to prevent runaway events!

The quality of this harness is questionable. Used it once, and 2 issues arose:1) the zipper at the top (supposed to increase the size of the harness, for bigger kids) is already broken. We have a small kid and kept the zipper closed, but it broke open. So now it's constantly open.2) some long piece from inside the handle keeps popping out and threaten to come off completely. If we don't pay attention and put it back, we will lose it and the harness's back handle might become unusable.I bought this ahead of ski season, and now regret it as the return window is closed.

This is the best thing ever (paired with the edgie wedgie). We initially chose this particular one because of the ability to attach 2 straps rather than just one. After trying it out we have found it is much easier for the adult to try to handle one strap as opposed to 2, but you have that option with this harness so that has worked out fine. We also found that they still need to understand some basic skills like turning for this to be effective. Otherwise when you pull on it you just pull them over. If they can at least kind of do the motions with their own body you can help guide them and it works a lot better. After the first day with the harness with a four year old, we went back to basics on the tiny bunny hill for some turning skills and after that we only ever needed it for a little guidance. He has been 3 times and is ready to do without on all but the hardest green runs. I would say the best feature about this is the handle on the back and the thicker backpack style straps which are invaluable for helping a child get up out of the snow when everyone is wearing big bulky slippery gloves and jackets. Even if you can’t reach the handle behind their neck, you can get ahold of one of the front straps and haul them up. We bought one of these each for our 7 year old and 4 year old. The 7 year old didn’t end up needing it for the leash part, but we still put the vest part on since we have it, so we can help her more easily if she falls down and gets her feet tangled.

The idea of this harness is absolutely fantastic however the quality of the plastic clips on the reins is very poor. My 5 year old daughter was wearing this and the plastic clips between the bungee cord and the restraint strap snapped on the mountain. If my older son was not in front of her she would have lost control and been put in a position of danger. I would have thought that the components would have been tested beyond general use on something like this

Je n'ai pas dévalé des fortes pentes avec un petit bout de 3 ans mais quand celui-ci ne voulait plus être tenu par les bras, ce systeme m'a permi de lui faire descendre une piste d''apprentissage en courant derrière, c'est top et pas lourd ni encombrant. Par contre la poignée pour les soulever dans le dos ça ne marche pas terrible avec des petits gabarits en tout cas. Je recommande tout de même car ça va suivre pour des années

Great harness for a good price. Used it today and everything worked well.The only wish i have is for them to have slightly bigger mesh pocket in teh back so it's easy to put the straps in there when not used. They provide a little mesh bag that clips onto the harness but it would be easier to just shove the straps into a open mesh pocket on teh back.I'd buy this again and definitely recommend it!
