We have had two large mounts, mounted above our porches for about 2 months in west Texas wind & they have been very sturdy. It is a bit of a 2 man job but they were well worth the money

When I opened the package I was shocked at how small this item was (not 11 x 5 x 11) more like 4 inches high by 3 inches wide. I had my doubts that it would hold moose antlers with a skull plate. My wife looked at it and said send it back. I am the curious type and wanted to see how it would work. I mounted the main bracket on a 2X4 stud in my garage and placed the part that was to be screwed into the skull in the main bracket. I attached a 25 lb weight and left it hang. It held amazingly well. I took a leap of faith and messed with the angle I thought I needed to mount the skull. After carefully adjusting it to my situation I drilled two small holes through the skull and attempted to place the included screws through the skull and attach them to the mount. I found that the included screws were not long enough to go through the skull and bracket. It was necessary to use a couple of my own that were about 1/2 inch longer. Overall adjusting the mount was easy. Just use caution in figuring the angle for the final mount. I wish I could take a picture of the finished product but don't know how to include it with my review. Overall the item works well with my mount. I would recommend it. My wife suggested I get some and convert my deer mounts to this mount vice the wooden plaque.

The elk skull on this hook is very large. It is stable and the quality is great. It was extremely tricky to get the right angle on the mount. 2 man job for sure .

Used this to mount a 6x6 Elk Rack. The swivel feature is a nice option. Easy to use and very sturdy.

Great product! Solid construction; easy to install. I mounted a 6X6 elk rack... this mount supports the weight just fine. Comes with bolts for a drilled skullcap but mine was already mounted on wood so I had to buy a couple of 5/16 lag bolts to bolt the wood to the bracket. Worked just fine... and once the skull bracket was bolted to the wood plaque hanging it on the wall bracket was a breeze. The angle adjustments on the bracket are great - many angles to choose from. Removing for dusting, cleaning, etc is easy too... just lift it off the wall bracket.

It looks like it will work but I'll need to run to the hardware store. I've attached a picture of the entire package. For some reason there is only locking nut, according to the directions there should be four. Also, the bolts and nuts meant to attached the skull to the plate are way too small and easily slide through the bracket...not a big deal on the bolt head end but will need a washer on the nut/bracket side. WTH Skull Hooker? This is the 9th Skull Hooker product I've purchased. They are already overpriced for what you get but I like the look of them and ease of installation...I guess I'm done buying from them if I have to don my covid mask to run to the hardware store to get the correct mounting hardware.... or if the welds occasionally don't hold (per previous reviewers).

I attached a bull elk head to a wall using the XXL skull hooker. Installation was super easy, just take some care when drilling the two mount holes for leveling considerations. The skull hooker also allows for leveling adjustments, which works real well for final placement on the wall. Fantastic product at a fantastic price with a real professional look - I highly recommend this product and look forward to purchasing more in the future.

I did have to screw through the head as the back of the holder was too wide to fit inside the skull. But it holds it perfectly. Very strong.
